You basically will become a project manager for a hospital. There's not a lot of options since you're not going to be very technical. You could also become a business analyst or work in IT sales for healthcare consulting firm or healthcare software company. There's no real benefit in specializing in Health IT unless you REALLY want to work for a hospital or healthcare system like Blue Cross Blue Shield or insurance, CIGNA. Project managers with a master's right out of school make around $55-80K per year. It usually depends on what school you went to and how large the healthcare system is and in what city. People in NYC will make much more than a IT project manager in Boise Idaho. Getting an MBA with IT focus might be a better option because you'll get a bigger picture of how a company is run. Strong IT experience comes from actual experience not schooling. You might also want to get a PMP, project management certification.
